STUDENT ACTIVITIES IN CRITICAL EDGE ALLIANCE

CRITICAL EDGES
The student magazine Critical Edges has now been active for several years. We are continuing the work and look forward to more activities, gathering new members and organizing more students in this and the coming semesters. Additionally Critical Edges is also preparing to participate in the Critical Edge Alliance Conference in June. GLOBAL VOICES
For more than a year, the student podcast Global Voices has focused on themes that matter to students and served as a platform for student voices and global dialogue. Please join our team in this effort.
STUDENT EXHIBITION IN PARIS
As a part of the student engagement in the Critical Edge Alliance Conference, a student group is preparing an exhibition with the theme of the conference, which is “Acting in Higher Education in Response to Climate Change”. Students are organizing this exhibition for students; therefore, we are inviting you to submit your artworks, it can be poems, drawings, digital art, etc.… We will create a catalogue and present all the participants on our website.
GLOBAL DISCUSSIONS
This semester student collective is also continuing the “Global Discussions”, we will host talks and discussions with people from across the alliance. The events will happen online, and everyone from alliance will get a chance to sign up. We are starting this season with our PhD students who will present their research. Therefore, we are inviting other students from the alliance, to participate in this events, and share their research with other alliance members. STUDENT ENGAGEMENT Critical Edge Alliance student group is working on new and exciting initiatives, and therefore is also looking for students from all the CEA universities that are willing to engage, or at least participate in the meetings, and help them build up working student groups. Using technology to increase access to youth mental health support may offer a practical way for young people to reach guidance, safe-spaces, and early help without feeling overwhelmed by traditional systems. Digital platforms, helplines, and apps could give them a chance to seek support privately, connect with trained listeners-orexplore resources that might ease their emotional load. This gentle shift toward tech-based support may encourage youth to open-up at their own pace, especially when in-person help feels too heavy to approach.
