Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington State was founded in 1971 as an
experimental, alternative college. Evergreen focuses on inter-disciplinary and
collaborative learning, linking theory with practical application, diversity and personal engagement.
At Evergreen, students usually take a full course load in a single 12 – 16 credit academic program that integrates different subjects, enabling students to explore a central idea or theme.

Evergreen offers two undergraduate and three master’s degrees: Master of Environmental Studies, Master of Public Administration, and Master in Teaching.
